268 companies used the phrase "agentic AI" in a 10-K. In 2022, 2023 and 2024, none did.

How this was counted
Yearover counts how often a phrase appears in 10-K filings. This is what one phrase did. "agentic AI" appears in no 10-K filed in 2022, 2023 or 2024. In 2025 it appears in 54. In 2026, through the cut-off date, in 241, filed by 250 companies.
How the count was made
The window runs from 2022 to 2026, counted one calendar year at a time. It starts in 2022 because that is where this phrase's watch begins: a company that used the phrase in 2021 would not appear here, and this count cannot tell you whether one did.
The form filter matches on root forms, so an amended annual report counts alongside the original. The unit EDGAR returns is the document, and that is what is stored: filings and companies are derived from the documents rather than counted separately, because a document names its filing and every registrant on it, and one filing can be filed under several registrants.
Each year was listed in windows, and the windows are published with the counts. For every year in the snapshot, the documents reported by the windows add up to the document count, and the document count equals the number of distinct accession numbers stored. A search that could not be completed in full is refused rather than returned short, so a year that hit a limit records no windows at all and cannot satisfy that arithmetic.
The snapshot was frozen on 16 September 2026, and every figure on this page is computed from it. EDGAR full-text search returns a slightly different set on each run, so a page that queried once per figure could contradict itself. One snapshot cannot.

What this study does not say
Of the 54 companies that used the phrase in 2025, 36 used it again in 2026. The other 18 are not in the 2026 list, and this study does not say why. They may have filed an annual report without the phrase, or not filed one before the cut-off. Establishing which would take a second source per company, and that work is not in this study.

Limits of this count
- There is no denominator. This study counts the filings that used the phrase, not the share of filers that used it, because full-text search does not report how many companies filed a 10-K in the window. No percentage appears on this page for that reason.
- The 18 companies that used the phrase in 2025 and are not in the 2026 list are unexplained. Whether they filed without it or had not filed by the cut-off is not established here.
- The window starts in 2022. A company that used the phrase in an earlier filing would not be seen, so the first year in the window is not necessarily the first year of use.
- Documents and filings are equal in every year of this study, so no filing matched on both its report and an exhibit. That is a fact about this phrase in this window, not a general rule.
- The phrase is matched against the filing text. A filing that mentions it once counts the same as one built around it, and this count says nothing about which is which.
